If N9 is indeed to be the main presentation area, are we expecting anything 'exciting', or will it be a modest tweak of the set-up and style showcased in the Euro election coverage?
Fear not - we'll be treated to a night in TC1 - and in HD too.

A very good bulletin from ITV News - nice background graphics too for the election, but titles etc. remain unchanged. On a presentational front though IMO the BBC are lagging way behind both ITV and especially Sky.

It appears that Jonathan Dimbleby hasn't quite been retired from ITV's Election affairs...

Radio Times are listing a new programme called CAMPAIGN 2010 with Jonathan Dimbleby.

Campaign 2010 with Jonathan Dimbleby
Thursday 15 April
10:35pm - 11:35pm
ITV1 London

Jonathan Dimbleby present a weekly discussion programme with high profile political guests, commentators and a live audience who will have their say on the major events and issues from the week.

There is a Facebook group listed in Google, but apparently not yet active.

Good God Ihad hoped against hope really that the BBC would come up with excellent election graphics and thus far I am not surprised they are crap. That Election 2010 DOG on the screen of the BBC News Channel is horrific - and there graphics so far are the same - the website is horrible too - the swimgometer - the least said about that tripe the better - Sky's election website looks much better - the BBCs graphics are far too white - I am waiting to see what Jeremy Vines graphics package is like (too appear on News Channel soon) - Im hoping for the excellent digital and virtual swingometer used during the 2001 coverage but Im not hopeful - expect more tripe - a child could do better on PowerPoint. The BBC - Basic Boring Colourless Exclamation Rolling Eyes

That would be because they're focusing on providing far more detailed, thorough, unbiased coverage? Wink

Vine just been on BBC - oh good God Exclamation Rolling Eyes
The potential is there for it to be great - but oh no they go and ruin it - it is far far far too white - makes it look basic and boring - graphs on table were ok and I did like the poll of polls graphic - but the swingometer was a big let down - was hoping against hope for a revival of the 2001 swingometer but oh no - it didn't even look like a swingometer. What the hell are the BBC graphics department doing Confused An 11 year old could do better on PowerPoint.
I fear this could be the worst election night graphics from the BBC - the US 08 election was piss poor - good music though and thus far Election 2010 graphics are piss poor. Rolling Eyes Sad

PET PEEVE ALERT! But then again, you are 11.

Anyway, I think Sky News are top with coverage for the Election at the moment. Lots of reports from up and down the UK, great graphics, and this may sound corny, but they are really living up to their slogan and are at the moment first for Breaking News.
