I think the logo, if it is actually the on-air one, could potentially work but only if they changed the letter and tagline font to something like Gilroy or Montserrat. The current font doesn't fit on-air.
Hopefully a sign that there will be impartial news anchors as well as 'personalities'.
I don't think we can judge the 'news' portion of the channel until it airs. I think we can all interpret a 'lean' of any news department/channel, but that lean doesn't show where it matters - breaking news and special events.
If Kay jumps ship too then this could be the new (old) Sky News... Interesting to see how this develops. I think there needs to be something to shake things up. BBC/SKY have become complacent. Nothing but a sleepy snoozefest these days. Almost apologetic if they should so much as read out a breaking news line on a rolling news channel
