Why have they sent Emiliy Maitlis to Stratford?

Because she is the main presenter of BBC London - and Stratford is the proposed location for a main bit of the 2012 London bid?

What's that got to do with the Olympics?

Err - isn't it the main venue if London wins?

Also how come no-one is in New York?

New York is not widely tipped (they're already planning 2016 I believe) - but the Beeb has a reasonably extensive team in NY already (and Washington isn't that far away)

I suppose that if Dermot is away in Singapore, Natasha away in Kenya, Sian in Trafalgar Square then Breakfast will be with Bill and Kate Silverton (unless Sian does Breakfast then goes off up to Trafalgar Square).

With the Africa Week, is Natasha Kaplinsky actually presenting from Kenya or is she just doing special reports?[/quote]
It wouldn't surprise me if there is more for Natasha to do from Africa than straight News. Isn't there a Strictly Africa show?

Chris Eakin was presenting N24 from Edinburgh yesterday. Presumably, either he or Jon Sopel will be at Gleneagles later this week.
