Actually, the actual post made above is NOT the original version of this blooper. Elsewhere on YouTube, if you type in "BBC News Bloopers", you will come across a full 4 minutes of BBC News (National / World / N24) cock-ups. In that original version, the clip features the proper BBC World titles and bulletin theme music.

In this particular thread, the clip seems to be another edit.

FTR, the presenters are David Jessel and Dharshini David, both of whom are World presenters, and the clip is clearly from the World studio.

Ah see!

I was looking for the original to put a link on here but couldn't find it - I was sure I had it in my faves too!

But yeah, there's some good stuff on that 4 minute clip!

Quick plug for dbl's website where there's a great cockup of the whole of a Thames Valley bulletin having sound problems. Poor Wesley has absolutely no idea his mic is on for the whole duration. The news wraps up after 4 minutes but with a couple of minutes still to spare he has to fill and does so by letting us know what's coming up on ITV to 4am and the times of all the bulletins tomorrow then thinks we can be shown the tail end of the weather (which ironically would have been Meridian South) before going back to him. And then ITN cock it up with the music as well!

A good example of why Americans should not do comedy! Wink

Since somebody brought it up in the Newsnight thread, here's Mr Paxman at his finest: Newsnight/HIGNFY

And here's some more Paxo fun involving the time when the markets were briefly replaced by weather reports. However Jeremy claims not to have had a problem with it, so he was probably just poking fun at the producers.

Here's another long, (mostly) funny compilation of news and other live TV bloopers from around the world. We've seen a few of them in other compilations posted here, but most of the material is new:

I recorded this one a few weeks ago - I guess it just shows the dangers of leaving microphones on (it came straight after a live interview with a political reporter in Canberra).
