No teleprompters? Is that normal in France?

If you watch the video, there's a teleprompter on the robotic camera. But it does appear some shots will be ad-libbed or using scripts.

Franceinfo's own stream is now working and isn't geoblocked in the UK.

There's a TelePrompTer hidden behind the robotic camera and at the edge of the newsroom.

Who manufactures the robotic camera?

Also, what type of quality can you get out of those Panasonic PTZ cameras? Can you color match them the way you would a regular camera? I've seen them mainly used in DTL applications or where they are ceiling mounted to give a POV of the entire studio - but never an entire show done from them.

Here's the "news wheel" to be used by Franceinfo:

The radio icon in the middle suggests that's for the radio version of France Info rather than the TV. But possible the TV channel will echo the radio schedule, of course.

It is more than possible, because the reminders of the news titles (at :10, :20, :40 and :50) will be aired live simultaneously on TV and on radio from a studio located in Radio France.

Also, at http://www.francetvpro.fr/dp/franceinfo, you will find the interactive presentation file, the radio schedule, and the TV schedule, if you are interested.

FranceInfo: will be launched tomorrow around 8 p.m. Paris time, so that the launch can be simultaneously covered by the end of France 3's newscast (19/20 National) and then by the beginning of France 2's newscast (20 Heures).

But a first official TV-like broadcast has been posted on FranceInfo:'s YouTube channel, it is called "8h30 Aphatie" and is the interview of a politician, broadcast on the radio and made to be broadcast on TV at the same time. So (except for the on-air logo and the headlines bar which are absent on this video) it will look like this: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QBc7Xwb4pok (and at 17min10s in this video, you can see how the reminders of the news titles will look like, this one was at 8:50 a.m.)

(Hello everyone! ^^)

A voiceover for the weather forecasts. Because of the way France 2 and 3 are operated almost independently, it appears they can't be utilised in the same way Met Office forecasters are across the BBC channels.

Signed bulletin with a circle for the presenter.

*

From what I've seen so far, there are three presenters, a double headed main bulletin and another doing the heads every 10 minutes.

The person doing the heads at :10 :20 :40 and :50 works for and from Radio France. The other two (the main two) work for and from France Télévisions. The France Tv host currently on air at 8:31 pm used to be the news reader in the morning for France 2's TéléMatin's bulletins.

The Radio France headlines studio is impressive. This is something London Live should have looked at doing instead. Plus it appears to be a robotic camera, rather than a fixed camera.

As for the main studio, one of the presenters sat on a desk in the newsroom, circa C5 1997. Elements of this channel would work well on 5 News.
