BBC Two crashed out halfway through a song to hand over to "BBC News" coverage.

I wouldn't be surprised to see BBC One / BBC Two swap over at midnight.

I don't think BBC One will be pulling out of Children In Need tonight for coverage

I would presume that the duty World presenter is standing by in Studio C ready for handover. I would expect Martine will be leaving soon, she's been there since 1830 GMT

Just rewound on iPlayer - Later with Jools Holland was interrupted with a very quick fade out and announcement into the BBC News simulcast.

NI went with the Network announcement and slide. Wales had an animating BBC Two style teal slide. Looks like Scotland stuck with the Bowls for a few minutes longer before apologising over Silk and joining the coverage.

Bit odd that they finished Newsnight, ran the arts show, started Jools Holland, and then decided to go to rolling news part was through.

Yeah, I wonder what happened within 10mins of the programme starting that made them think they should be covering it? I guess these decisions go right up to the channel controller where available.

Well there was one instance where a live link to a correspondent seemed to be handled by C as her live bug got a local time clock. Back to no clock now.

BBC News now quoting Reuters that the 100 people held hostage in the concert hall have been killed.

Absolutely shocking news. This has to be the biggest loss of life in a terror attack since 9/11?

The police or military stormed the theatre where the hostages were being held.

Like the storming of the Jewish Grocery store during the Charlie Hebdo attacks, French media were requested not to air footage live of the Batalan by request of the French police.

In France, TF1 and France 2 are providing live news coverage.

2007 slide? I though they binned them in 2009. Not to say it's a bad thing though, looks much more appropriate.
