Look at radio in this country, only BBC Radio 4 does long form bulletins anymore, commercial radio has almost entirely dropped the idea. The longest bulletin you have now is Heart Nightly News airing on selected Heart stations in areas such as Cornwall, Wales, Yorkshire and Scotland, which are 10 minutes. Outside of those, you'll be hard pressed to find a bulletin on commercial radio anymore longer than 3 minutes.

BBC Radio 1 also has two 15 minute editions of Newsbeat a day.

You've conveniently missed out the, er, rolling news radio formats too.

Forgot about Newsbeat.

As for rolling news formats... what rolling news formats? In this country right now, rolling news barely exists. News Radio and LBC are only really live with rolling news for around 12 hours a day. Even Canadian cities like Vancouver, Calgary, Montreal, Ottawa and Toronto have rolling news stations running 24/7 live. Oh and by the way, the individual bulletin segments are still short, 2 or 3 minutes at most.

Non-domestic station. It can be heard here, but it's an international station.

Far right activist Tomi Lahren is joining FNC. Makes her debut as a guest on Hannity this evening. She'd be another reason why the channel was pulled as I can imagine the Ofcom reprimands on some of her views about abortion and ethnic minority groups.

Very good looking woman, my Lord. I'd never heard of her before your mention though, I must admit.

I agree with what you're saying about OFCOM perhaps having something to say about her, but that's part of the problem. This is a very interesting write-up in Keakie about an interview she did with Trevor Noah on The Daily Show.

The article ends with "Overall, the debate made for very interesting television and it’s good that both wings of the spectrum are having their voice heard. Ultimately, that is the only way America can heal."

I completely agree with that. For nearly 30-40 years, there is an increasingly narrow discourse in "polite society" about what is acceptable to say and what isn't. Like it or not, that's what caused Brexit, Trump, Charlotteville, and more.

As a slightly right-of-centre libertarian, I have no problem with abortion. But I also have no problem with people who hate abortion and wish to have the law changed to stop it. I personally think the world is better because legal abortion exists so I would hope that side of the argument wins.

I have no problem with NFL player Colin Kaepernick kneeling during the national anthem in protest to police brutality. It's his right to free speech and personal expression. At the same time, I have no problem with her attacking Beyonce for "marrying ‘an ex drug dealer’ and then somehow used that as justification as to why the star has no right to fight against social injustice".

There has to be a line drawn somewhere but nowhere near as tight as it is now. Where it should be, I am not a wise enough nor an intelligent enough man to say.

But my word, she is attractive.

Tomi Lahren was an intern at One America News Network, who got a PrimeTime show called On Point with Tomi Lahren. She went to The Blaze, but got fired by Glenn 'Lonesome Roads" Beck, after an appeareance on The View where she stated she was pro-choice, after many anti-choice rants on air.

Can't say I'm surprised that Fox News picked her up, but it really does feel like going down to the minor leagues to pick up a top prospect. There's every chance that prospect will burn out as quickly as her star rose.

Comes from the UK, broadcast on the BBC national DAB Mux, it's just as much a national network as the others

No, she fits in with their usual hiring policy to appeal to the channels core demographic... she's young and blonde.
