I was going to suggest they put FBN on there as a replacement, but some of their output is as biased.
Ha ha ha, when I was in the US I saw some of that, one time a couple of years ago I saw the presenter stopping mid-flow during a business report to have a full-on rant about Obama, which had nothing to do with anything that had come before it.
Excellent news. The FNC has a penchant to be as rabidly biased as possible. You might as well call it Trump Propaganda.
The 2,000 viewer stat is surprising to an extent - surely I thought it would have been much higher, but lest we forget that the FNC was only available on Sky through the Original or Variety bundles, AFAIK.
However, not even closing Fox News in the UK will solve the Murdoch's woes with their planned takeover of Sky, especially with the ongoing scandals at the FNC.
As much as it personally pleases me to discover that Fox News has stopped broadcasting in the UK, I can't help but feel that this is only a temporary move whilst they try to get the Sky buyout through,
Possibly, I can't see any other reason for doing it except for compliance reasons but that's not been an issue till now except at election time.
I wonder how much it costs to run, how much it costs it takes to play out the breaks. I assume that it's done automatically (unlike Sky News which has a dedicated TC to run the breaks)
You use the word temporary, wasn't it's appearance in the UK originally only temporary? It was a 9/11 aftermath reaction

There's a difference, a very large difference, between valid discussion with a wide range of opinion duly questioned under neutral examination and unquestioned propaganda. Fox News has frequently crossed from the former to the latter.

It was indeed, coming on 19.2E and 28E hours after the attacks FTA. Apparently viewer feedback led to a permanent place on Sky Digital behind the paywall.
I used to watch it for Bret Baier hour when I had Sky, it was interesting to see how things were reported in the states. It live streams on Youtube so I can watch it there. I don't agree with people saying its a good thing because they don't like Fox,it is most unwise to stop people having the freedom of expression. Yet many seem to agree with it being silenced. Whatever the reason may be for the channels removal! Nobody has to watch it. Don't get me wrong, I'd hate it if our news channels went the way of the ones in the states.
