UGH. Seen this video years ago .. Sad. I feel sad for the people working on this new show. This lady is a mess. Mean spirited in her evil views and to people she works with or rather berates. Just sad. Im sure the wrinklies with eat it up. Anger+ Blonde hair = ratings.

To be fair, that seems to be a really badly produced show if it's as bad as she makes out.

The thing is this wasn't a rolling news show where things may change more rapidly. Her show aired at 5PM and surely the guests are booked ahead of time. I understand that she may not have printed them out but atleast she should have read the articles herself.

Having seen the 2nd video posted, she seems a horrid woman. And of course, if she knew who was coming on her show in advance, she should have done her own research and not blamed others.

FNC will be starting live programming from 4am ET as from tomorrow. Heather Childers will present Fox & Friends First from 4-5am, while Jillian Mele and Rob Schmitt will present 5-6am.

Mele will continue to be bulletin reader on Fox and Friends from 6am.

Unlike F&F, Fox and Friends First is more news driven.

This mirrors a trend in local news in the US where the local breakfast news programmes now start at 4am.

I guess those old people do get up early Smile
Shame they couldn't drop the stupid "and Friends" bit, but I suppose everything about FNC output has a degree of "us" versus "them" about it. Eugh.

I was wondering why they would start so early. It seems quite costly for a time slot where barely anyone is watching.
I found this from Brian Stelter, who wrote it seven years ago:

Yeah, it's quite different to the UK where starting at 6am or 7am in some areas is as early as you need to go. 4am start times here might seem reasonable, for farmers and those in major cities, but the market just isn't there, where as in the US, it is.

Today's Ofcom Broadcast Bulletin [pdf] contains two upheld rulings against Fox News.

They're preceded with this disclaimer, which I think is unprecedented - I don't remember having seen something similar before:
Quote:
Fox News is a news channel originating in the US. The Licence was held by Fox News Network LLC. It ceased to broadcast in the UK on 29 August 2017 and surrendered its Licence to Ofcom on 1 November 2017. Although the channel has ceased to broadcast and is no longer a licensed television service falling under Ofcom’s jurisdiction, Ofcom has decided that publication of this short form decision is appropriate to ensure there is a complete compliance record and to facilitate public understanding of the Code.

It wouldn't surprise me if the two outstanding investigations had some bearing in the channel surrendering its licence.

Well duh. but of course FNC has spun it by say the ratings in the UK were low and that was the reason they "handed back" their license. FNC is full of it.

That and it wasn't making any money at all.

Fox News used to have at least a couple of UK aimed adverts in at least a couple of the breaks per hour. Then those were dropped and we had the Fox News Extra fillers during every break (or the loop of the ridiculous over the top programme title graphics)

I do suspect though, with a democrat in charge of the White House, Fox would say that there coverage was balanced - report on what President Obama was up to, and they then hit them with the Republican angle.
With George Dubyya, they reported on what he was up to, and they got the extreme wing of the Republicans to comment, to provide 'balance'

With Donny T barking the orders, and providing no balance, because he can do no wrong in their editoral eyes - Fox knew the game was up with Ofcom - and pulled the plug, citing lack of viewers (and UK/Ireland advertising revenue)

The breaks at the top and bottom of the hour had UK ads, followed by the strange logo compilation. The other breaks were Fox Extra.

If Fox were really in the business of shutting down underperforming feeds then the Sky Italia feeds of Fox News and Fox Business would also go. I can’t imagine they get anywhere near the numbers that apparently weren’t enough to justify a UK presence.
