The format of the channel isn't going to change anytime soon. Ailes, Shine, O'Reilly, et al may be gone, but all they've done otherwise is play musical chairs both on and off camera. Now that Eric Bolling isn't coming back, his timeslot is being given to Laura Ingraham, a conservative radio host who was O'Reilly's main fill-in and was even a rumored candidate for Trump's press secretary.

The graphics are a jarring but welcome improvement. It wouldn't surprise me if they do end up cleaning them up a little more down the line too.

The static bug should soon burn into many closet viewers' TV sets as some sort of scarlet letter.

I didn't know Steve Doocy's son also works for FNC. His delivery is very similar to his father.

Indeed, scarily. What I shouldn't be surprised at is the nepotism also at Fox News.

FOX News and its journalistic ethics are questionable. Could this be the reason the SKY/21Century take over is delayed. NPR did a brilliant piece today about FNC and the murdered DNC staffer and the channels role in promoting a fake news story for months about why the young man was killed. After promoting this fake news story for months then they retracted that story with no explanation what so ever. Have a listen. Quite interesting if you arent aware of this whole mess.

That might well be the understatement of the millenium. Fox News, much like Newscorp & 21st Century Fox, have no ethics. They do not know the meaning of the word, if they know the word exists. Money trumps everything, if you'll pardon the expression.



I imagine the situation at Fox News has not helped the takeover at all, but in terms of being the reason for the delay, I think that thought significantly overestimates the impact Fox News has in this country. It may have contributed to the decision, but there are other significantly greater factors involved, such as the relationship between Sky, the Sun and the Times, and the complexities of the Newscorp/21st Century Fox split.



That whole situation is its own significant mess, and the first time that a fake news story the right wing media machine generated actually backfired on Fox News. So many of those stories have been disproved time and again, and yet this one was the first one to actually hurt the right wing media machine, and not merely Fox News either.

Well I certainly wasnt stating that the FNC mess is the sole factor in the delay of the take over. But a contributing factor. After all the channel was dumped recently. CNN has published a nice comprehensive article about the mess. All of it including the other issues.

The stories involving the murdered DNC staffer originally started from the Fox O&O in D.C., WTTG 5. They retracted the story, but no one at the news Channel did.

Oy. Nothing is ever simple with these folks. But I do wonder what will happen should the Sky deal fail and their bid to stop Australia's Network Ten from becoming CBS - owned, will there really be some changes? Fox has lost over 30 million dollars in lawsuits over sexual harassment, their attempt to acquire a TV network in Australia more or less failed, their deal to acquire the rest of Sky is in hanging by a thread. what is Fox's long-term game here? Because there will come a point where Fox News no longer is profitable and then what?
