What's the purpose of the two things that look like bedside tables either side of the desk? If they're meant to be hiding the lower regions of the people sitting at either end, they're not doing a great job.

Sky has a similar thing in the glass box. It's to the right of Kay in this pic from TV Live;

You get them in a lot of news studios, you just can't always see them. They are normally there to serve as a storage space for scripts, newspapers and a presenter's personal items. It is just that they are often more concealed on British TV. You can see one behind the GMB and BBC News desks as well:

A new Lawsuit claims FOX NEWS created Fake News with the Trump White House in the alleged assassination/murder of a DNC staffer that allegedly stole and leaked Hillary Clintons emails. This is only a lawsuit, but its damaging to FNC's brand. The news of this lawsuit was first broken by PBS sister radio network NPR. This story is now making its rounds on the news channels.

This FNC story is having larger implications for 21Century and its bid to takeover SKY. This story bears watching and the impact it could have on the FOX bid for SKY.

This is 20+ years of building a Conservative Media machine, unraveling before your eyes.

At the end of this, I'll be seriously surprised if any major advertisers will even want to touch Fox News with a barge pole, let alone put their names to the product.

Bigger than News Of The World, by a not insignificant margin. News Of The World was only really a big thing in the UK. Fox News has gone worldwide with relays on FOXTEL, STAR, SKY in different parts of Europe and various other providers.

News Of The World was closed down, I'm not sure Fox News will be, but if it was, it would make the story even bigger, and make the News Of The World incident look like a drop in the ocean, where as the effect of Fox News' closure would be more like a 10 tonne chunk of ice falling off the polar ice cap. Much bigger ripples, much wider effect.

Eh, they'd probably relaunch as Sky News America six months later. Like how the Sun on Sunday eventually took NOTW's place.

If I was Murdoch, I'd return all of the daytime slots to a rolling news format with some analysis and opinion, but nothing as biased as it is now with Fox and Friends, Outnumbered and the Fox News Specialists.

Leave the peak for the right-wing skewed commentators and bring back The Fox Report on weekdays.

I must admit, I would've already brought back The Fox Report back to the old 7pm slot, and returned daytimes to the rolling Fox News Live format, rather than the separate shows they are now. Shepard Smith Reporting would be the first separate show at 3pm as it is, and Your World with Neil Cavuto would remain at 4pm. Given the current situation with The Specialists, I'd be inclined to move The Story to 5pm. Only other addition I would make is to look at introducing a show to compete with MSNBC's The 11th Hour.

My suggestion would be move The Five back to 5pm, bring back the weekday edition of the Fox Report, send the Specialists down to 9pm and send "The Story" up to Megyn Kelly's old 1pm slot.

Your terminology is way off, putting the Specialists at 9pm would not be a sending down, it would be a promotion to primetime, Fox News do their best numbers in primetime. That would be a promotion not a demotion, and yes, I'm aware that sending The Story to 5pm would be a demotion too, but 1pm is frankly a bad time for it.

It's all very well saying put The Five back on at 5, but what are you putting on at 9pm in its place? Fox News right now really doesn't have a good replacement for it at this point.

The only alternative I could see would be asking Geraldo Rivera to return to regular action and do a new version of his old Rivera Live show that used to air on CNBC back in the day, but honestly, I'm not even sure that would be a good idea.

The man that has been the creative director at FOX NEWS has died. Anyone dying is certainly sad news for their families and work colleagues. He was with the channel since its launch in 1996. I think it goes without saying FOX NEWS has one of the worst graphic presentations on any properly funded news channel anywhere. Yes you can make the argument that the tabloid look is its DNA and yes that true. But frankly is not even good tabloid look. See WSVN or WHDH for a proper tabloid graphic presentation. And right now the FNC graphic presentation...... its quite tired. Especially for a channel that claims to be a legitimate news channel. Does his sad passing mean eventually a new look will be rolling out. Its highly unlikely. But maybe a slight change or a cleaner look is on the horizon. One can only hope.
