There's still nothing like a British newsreader talking about Chiner and Indier on Loive at Foive from the Skoy Newscenta.

...I'll see myself out.

Hon, people here in Balamer love their ohreeoles and go down to the yard to watch dem Os. We're a short drive from Warshington and make frequent trips downey ohshun to vacayshun. Torst often think Balamer is filled wid murder but macey good people.

To be fair those are vowel sounds and they shift a lot. Like 'about' with Irish, Scottish and Canadian accents. And 'put' and 'putt' being the same in the North of England. Then there's 'bath'.

'Bag' is becoming 'beg' and 'dress' is turning into something close to 'drass' in parts of North America.

Now to make this more on-topic...
From what I've seen of Special Report at 6 pm ET, it's actually quite decent. It's radically different from the rest of the channel. I would even say that show is much better than some of the primetime programming on CNN.

I'm guessing that was as it broke, as their coverage online is about firing rather than resigning.

It has not been reported which newschannel the tv was on when he found out. So it wasn't necessarily FNC.

There's been a story out this week that the White House is mandating that Federal employees have Fox News on, on their work TVs. Don't know how true the story is, but I find it quite possible that the White House might well have done that.

It wasn't the White House it was the FDA:

Fox and Friends took a break from brown nosing Trump this morning to unveil their new blonde identikit headline anchor complete with an inane interview and VT where we saw Jillian Mele back in her hometown working in a grocery store, seeing her family in a typically American middle class conservative home and playing golf with her dad.

Matt Drudge reporting that Roger Ailes is dead. Statement from his widow:

Quote:
Statement from Elizabeth Ailes:

I am profoundly sad and heartbroken to report that my husband, Roger Ailes, passed away this morning. Roger was a loving husband to me, to his son Zachary, and a loyal friend to many. He was also a patriot, profoundly grateful to live in a country that gave him so much opportunity to work hard, to rise—and to give back. During a career that stretched over more than five decades, his work in entertainment, in politics, and in news affected the lives of many millions. And so even as we mourn his death, we celebrate his life...

How strange!
