At last, a bit of shouty competition for Bloomberg and CNBC. I wonder if on the 15th, it'll appear next to FNC on the Sky EPG (after shoving CCTV9 and NDTV down one space)?
So, they are also saying, it will launch in Australia. But where are they saying on the website, that they only launch in the US?
I hope they will come to Europe via Astra satellite system!
Yep it's appearing on Foxtel sooner rather than later I'm led to believe. They constantly pull out the 'we don't have enough capacity to carry another channel' argument when asked about Aljazeera but when one of Rupert's Own comes along an opening seems to come up.
That said, they're shut down the analogue cable network this year (if it hasn't happened already) so that might have freed up some space, even if they are launching HD next year.
I contacted Janet Alshouse, Senior VP at FOX News for international distribution. She advises that FOX Business will not be offered internationally until quarter 1 of 2008. No deal has been agreed yet with either Sky here or Foxtel in Australia.
Here's an interested interview that Roger Ailes did with the Wall Street Journal on FOX Business and CNBC..
