It's about time really that Channel Five saw sense. She is nothing special, hasn't raised the ratings for Five News and is a waste of money at £1 million a year. Any guesses as to where she'll go to? I'd put my money on Sky News. She is just about on par with Kay Burley.
I think she has raised the ratings, varying between 700,000 - 1million viewers. I'm sure it was deemed a success, a big increase from what was in the slot before hand and the old show.
But as stated, nothing too special, had too much time off. My money is on Charlotte replacing her.
My gut is telling me she wanted a part-time number and the powers that be said no.
I think she could end up being part of the weekend team at Sky News or even Nina's old job as weekend presenter at ITV News.
Well I Sort of agree with your guts. however I don't think she would get any openings at ITV News they have a pool of weekend presenters I think she could end up sharing C4 News with John Snow with him in his twilight of his broadcasting they could do 2/3 days a week each.
If you think Natasha Kaplinskly would end up as the weekend presenter on ITV News you're mad. If anything I can see her bumping someone else off a key slot on a re-jigged Sky News or moving to TV presenting instead of newsreading.

Or be reunited with Dermot.
Why would Sky break their single presenter format
simply
to reunite two former colleagues?!

I don't think she'd suit Channel 4 News at all. C4 has a good history of keeping its own talent, and I think Krishnan Guru-Murthy and Samira Ahmed do a great job as anchor when Jon Snow is not in. When the sad day comes that he moves on, I hope they follow tradition and simply 'cascade' up, perhaps Faisel Islam could become the new standby newsready (beneath Alex Thompson).

Lightweight "Documentaries" on Sky One will be her new home.
