Can I still blame Sky anyway as I don't like their style of reportage even on serious subjects? Guess there's somehow a void for fluffy non-news posing as "real life stories" waiting to be filled, thanks five for filling it and proving that you don't care all that much for news.

looking forward to seing natasha again. think she's going to be expected to deliver a lot more than at the bbc and be much more vulnerable in the studio on her own - esp if she's doing live interviewing which isn't her strong point.

Is Mid February the start of the new look channel "five", as well as the news?

Just reading the other thread created, and I also wonder if it is going to be a big relaunch of the news, where will they decamp?

Have sky news still got the other small ish studio?

Could it be that five news won't be coming from the studio and may instead be coming from part of a newsroom again?

Nope. That's only just been pitched. Look towards summer. Especially with Jay having returned to the BEEB.

So I expect that the look new news will be designed in a similar way to 2002 so that it can be easily adapted if they are going to have a new identity.

Maybe they should try and strengthen further the current identity. The only part that they really need to work on are the promo endboards.

Isn't Five getting the new look aound the same time that Neighbours comes to the channel? i read on another forum that Five News will be moving to 5pm at the end of January with the new look Five News lauching on the 18th Feb.

I wonder if we will promotions of the revamped Five News and Neighbours in the next few weeks?

As far as i know Five Idents, News etc will be getting a new look when Neighbours starts or around then which is about Feb18th I think.

According to Atticus in todays Sunday Times, Five News will from next month be branded as Five News with Natasha

Or does it just mean to solve the problems US bulletins have on their newsreaders day off Five have dropped her sir-name and hired a second presenter named Natasha to fill in!
