This may backfire on me - but I cannot seriously accept that Sophie would move to five from a BBC flagship bulletin. I also cannot see her going to ITV News.

no, she returned to Five News after realising that the move to ITV wasn't the right one. i don't think ITV were too unhappy to see her go.

money is also a factor anyway. if Five offer to double Sophie Raworth's salary, then it's likely she would go there.

I thought it was announced a few weeks back that the 7pm bulliten was going to be 30mins, this makes me think that they are dropping the 5.30 one in favour for Neighbours to boost in Home and Away.

I've just had a read of Asha Tanna's Wiki which claims that she's "massively increased viewing figures for Five News"

Now either Asha wrote this or someone at Five's PR department as I've always thought that the ratings have been stable since Sky took over producing the bulletins?

Sound like a recipe for lower figures if they mess this up.

There hasnt been any comments about viewing figures since sky , I was under the impression they lost a fair slice but it's stabilised since then .

I can't imagine Asha Tanna raising any sort of interest , be it viewers , figures or anything really.

finally a new look for Five News, i think the bulletins have been blander since Sky News took over, shame that Kirsty is leaving....again.....
