five news

Well Kate Gerbeau presents the lunchtime bulletin so she'll still be there at 1230. I presume Helen Fospero will be the main cover for all bulletins during the week and will still present on Saturdays then Asha Tanna presents on Sundays but her and Matt are reporters as well so it wont make any difference surely as they will still have the same amount of programmes.

I am actually now quite looking forward to this relaunch, if just because it will be something different. The title image I saw in RT looked alot better than I was expecting and surely its better for someone to be trying doing something different with news rather than everyone doing the same sort of thing. If this new style of doing news more casually is executed well, which it could be, it will be pretty good but if it isn't it could be a complete disaster...

Well to be honest, we all know that the talk of jeans and t-shirt dress-code is a bit of a gimmick - I can't really see it lasting. The agenda doesn't really seem to be much different to what it is already.

I don;t know if this is old, but there is a feature/preview on the relaunch in the radio times

Yeah, someone mentioned there is a picture of what are believed to be the new titles, I haven't had chance to look at the RT yet.

The bigger concern there is you scroll down a bit and find one of the Five News team talking about interviewing Jordan about her book. WTF has that got to do with the news?



Anyhow, stange to see a blue screen in use there - I thought they were all green nowadays!

With no proper studio they interviewed Jordan in a car in the car park. Couldn't they have hired a room somewhere if theres nothing at sky ?

Pity about Isla Traquair , I've enjoyed her work on Scottish tv and on ITV news.

Does anyone know what colour scheme they're going for or who is composing the music?

I can't say for certain, but I think its some shade of blue they're using. On the advert, its a light sky blue, and on other pictures this kind of blue is seen. I'm still trying to see this picture of the supposed titles which is in the RT, has anybody seen it, and if so can they describe it?
