God though, if the creator of 5 News could see what was happening now he'd be spinning in his grave, if he was dead!!!
Wasn't that the same Chris Shaw who is quoted and now works for Five rather than ITN (where Five News originated?)
That's right, Chris Shaw was definately the launch editor for 5 News back in 1997

Hmm. If you listen to Natasha's latest blog, the editor says "the new set has to go in, while were on air, lights have to be removed and the floors need re-painting" Maybe they are just painting the walls and removing the stairs, I doubt they could dismantle and rebuild a whole new set in 2 weeks.
Also, he said the graphics, titles and music have just been signed off.

When you think that other programmes have sets pulled down, and the floor painted before the next set is put up, I suppose that news sets are usually put up in advance nowadays so that the presenters can get used to the new set.
