Natasha mentioned that the new set is currently being built. Five news is still broadcasting from its old set as normal!!!

Will it be a new studio?

This is what I mean.

There is a third virtual studio at sky, Studio B - just a green box basically. It isn't used that much so they may well go into that, but that's just guess work.

She said they were still choosing fabrics as well, you tend to build those parts before you put them up in the studio.

If you listen, Natasha said "It's just over 4 weeks to the new look" which would suggest the 18th or 25th of February maybe?

That's a better idea, I thought they were stupid for moving the News to 11.30am in the first place, 12.00pm worked fine, it only moved because Channel 4 News was beating it in the ratings.

I'm interested to see the new schedule now, as they have a gap between 11.30am and 12.30pm, 1.00pm and 1.45pm, and 2.45pm and 5.00pm, interested to see how they are going to juggle things round.

Why are they launching the 12.30 bulletin on Feb 11, with the main relaunch on Feb 18?
Seems preety daft.

Anyway, I'm feeling quite excited about the new look now, I'm looking foward to seeing the set, especially where its going to be! Of course its not going to be in the current studio, and the only other studio in the Sky Centre is the CSO one (the one they used for the elections) which was IIRC quite small. I thought maybe they will build the new set there, and then dismantle the current set and put a CSO in there?

and then film
Matt Barbett hosts the 7pm News
