I dont know whats worse, the fact that five are putting her name in the titles, or the fact that its not even her full name. Five Evening News with Natasha Kaplinsky would be a tad better.
According to Atticus in todays Sunday Times, Five News will from next month be branded as
Five News with Natasha
Not even her second name in the titles!
It's like we are close friends with Natasha...
"ooooo let's watch the news with Natasha"
"ooooo let's go shopping with Natasha"
"ooooo let's go to the cinema with Natasha"

It's what happens when lazy journalists cut and paste from Wikipedia.

: OK, maybe not Wikipedia. But I highly doubt even Channel 5 would stoop as low as to call it
Five News with Natasha
.
I think this story is highly credible, and here's why...
The Sunday Times is owned by NewsCorp. Five News is produced by Sky News which is part owned by... NewsCorp. I do think this is likely, and I do think this will be a bad move for Five and Sky News.

Oh no.
I'm now terrified the new studio will turn out to be John Suchet's kitchen, if that's the way C5 will handle the news.
But
Five News with Natasha
? I don't even know Natasha, less still am I on first name terms with her. And it's hardly an iconic first name like Kylie or Oprah - although I think
The Nine O'Clock News with Kylie
might be an interesting idea for the Beeb to pursue...
Natasha Kaplinsky and Channel Five facing showdown over news content
Let's hope Natasha Kaplinsky has recharged her batteries during her well-earned Christmas break – because she may need all her energy to do battle with her new bosses at Channel Five.
The 35-year-old presenter, who quit the BBC in November, has said she wants her new Five show to focus on real-life stories in the news rather than big celebrity names.
But her bosses, it seems, have a rather different view of what should fill the daily bulletin – and are lining up a high-profile interviewee for the first show in February.
When I caught up with Natasha recently, she told me: "I don't think there is going to be a guest on the first show.
"It will be more focused on real life. It's going to have a different approach."
But my well-placed mole reports that producers expect their first high-profile guest to produce a "ground-breaking interview" and want the daily bulletin to keep that format.
Natasha, who has a £1million-a-year deal with Five, has had the past month off work since leaving the BBC.
Channel Five News said yesterday: "There will be a mixture of inspiring human-interest stories and high-profile guests."
Chris Shaw, senior programme controller at Five, said: “As one of the country's leading news presenters
Natasha has proved she has real authority
, and with her BBC One shows she also demonstrated her warmth and star quality. I believe at Five we can bring all those qualities together in a new kind of news programme."
