Five News

There's no other thread for Five News yet so i've added one.

So, according to TV Newsroom, Priya's leaving for freelance work:



Not much more, but can anyone indulge in where she'll be freelancing, and who'll replace her.

My view: Faye Barker would be nice, but we'll probably be seeing alot more of Helen Fospero...

She'll probably get a few overnight shifts at ITN, a couple of Sky News shifts and then go back to a region somewhere.

You need to edit the thread title - you've spelt Priya wrong!

just realised this now, I don't watch five news anymore. I used to quite like it when ITN ran it but not anymore.

It's not due to it's editorial either. It's the look of it, it's so ugly and american I can't stand seeing it on my screen/

Don't know why, but I seem to choose it over the others. Probably because they have the best presenters.

Anyway, will Priya's departure coincide with Kirsty's return?

Priya's taking a huge risk freelancing, where as Faye Barker has a good contacts book and is offered jobs on Calendar, ITN and Sky News, this is Priya's second gig since leaving EMT.

I have not watched it since they introduced the all blue set with the classical music, i preferred the orange/blue look they used before that.

Are we supposed to have heard of her?

Unless you live in the East Midlands, probably not.

Bumping up an old thread-

Kirsty's back, and has been since Thursay, but no-one remarked.

A seperate presenter is on the evening summaries- tonight this is Faye Barker, I presume she may be doing the late shift with Martin tonight on Sky News.

She has had a long day, i believe she was on Sunrise this morning aswell.

I'm not that keen on Kirsty for some reason, though I'm not surprised she's back on Five News now as she's started Desert Island Discs...

But I think John Suchet is fantastic, I'm glad Five/Sky News have persuaded him to stay on.
