Barbara Serra is just awful....what IS that peculiar accent? Her biog says she is half Italian half Danish . She sounds like she doesn't know what she is reading half the time.
I must say I prefer my news to be delivered in English. Five news has just become a simpering beauty parade since Charlie Stayt was 'let go'. What a mistake that was.
When he and Kirsty were the 2 main presenters Five news had real credibility. Now its just about pouting and strangled vowel sounds.

News in another language, although to be fair Five seem rather good at this at the minute...

Was slightly surprised to see Adam Boulton on Five News yesterday, captioned as 'Sky Political Editor'. I thought Sky had agreed to let all correspondents be known as 'Five correspondent' whenever they were on one of the bulletins?

I never really watched Five News when it was run by ITN, but watching it now it does rather look like an extension of the main Sky News service. I don't know whether that's a good thing or not - they can get more live reports from on-location, whereas before they couldn't - but then I guess not many people watch Five and Sky on the same day anyway.
