I don't think she's a bad reader, but experience interviewing full of them Hollywood stars and Cannon & Ball and Dicky Turd on Look North, doesn't fill me with confidence that she'd be that challenging during interviews.

didn't she do a lot of GMTV's 9/11 coverage?

9/11 coverage was just having a competance of bringing the latest information to the viewers as soon as possible and being able to listen to the gallery through your earpiece. Analysis didn't even begin until days after the whole thing, and after about 12 hours, much more senior personnel was brought in.

Which is why she is credited with a world exclusive interview, that she herself got before anyone else then? this isn't a lady who sits back and waits to be spoon fed information. Surely if you can work for Five one day and the BBC the next, you can't be too bad at your job? There must be plenty of other news readers out there that could have plugged those gaps...

A long day for Steve Dixon today - first he did Sunrise this morning and now he's returned to Five News (after a couple of years break) and is presenting todays bulletins there.

Sorry for dragging this back up - but I noticed Steve Dixon on Five News yesterday - do you think that he may replace Charlie, perhaps he and Kate could share the Lunchtime programme - or are they just going to continue using whoever, and whenever - and not bother replacing Charlie?

Who knows - he could but Kate will probably stay on lunchtime for now at least - even though they are an all female team now. I quite like him on Five.

He's had a busy week though - presenting Sunrise nearly every morning and Five News every day since Thursday. Confused

What ever happened to Jonas Hurst, I thought he was kept on when Sky took over ?

He did a couple of Sunday sport bulletins to start with but then seemed to disapear - never liked him anyway.

Is that man from Sky still doing the Friday sport bulletin?

Out of interest, when did Five News at Noon move to 11.30? Bit of a strange time to have a news programme, really...

11 April - same day as the ITV Day launch.

I keep forgetting to tune in at 11.30.
