Now that is an impressive studio design! How far out of date would you say that layout is?

Now to make the rest of you sick. Back in September this forum very nearly got a couple of artist renditions of the new sky news studio, i even uploaded the message, then thought better of it and deleted it. They're probably out of date by now anyway Very Happy

I presume that the honourable gentleman is referring to the following

Now that does look nice!!

I can imagine that man standing in the bottom left corner to be Five News' Presenter, with Sky News going on in the background. Really cool!

So does anyone know what time the final ITN update on Five will go out tonight?

Not just testosterone, but testosterone coupled with childishness.

This forum just gets better.

No more along the lines of being aware that it was company sensitive info, and that in hindsight making such information available in the public domain so early would only be a bad idea, and definitely be a breach of confidence on my part. So forgive my exuberance for wanting to show everyone what they wanted to see but it would have been the wrong thing to do.

As for Uncle Bruce welcoming another 'insider' to the board, thank you but I've been here a little while already I try to keep myself to myself, but managed to get drawn out this time.

Probably best that in future I restrict myself to other less angry forums no?

I wasn't referring to your decision not to put the picture up in the first place, rather your decision to tell us all as much and present yourself in a childish schoolboy manner of 'I know something you don't know'.

Either way, you've rather shot yourself in the foot.

On the picture itself: hard to make out what exactly it is going to look like, but certainly looks impressive from what you can gather.

Given that the Sky Guide says the first main bulletin (3rd January) is to be presented by Julie Etchingham, and said woman is currently a few thousand miles away in Phuket, I wonder if they will drag her back, get someone else, or have her presenting from Thailand.

Hopefully the latter, if they're looking to set the programme apart from others.

Just looking at the websitr ( www.five.tv/news ). Just thinking perhaps the screens in the background are a hint to the new look? Though they could just be anything. Also they all appearr to be widescreen? But maybe I'm just looking to much into things. Ahh well.

I am very sad to see ITN Five News disappear as it has brought a good service for the last 7 and a half years, though I am looking foward to the Sky Five News as it is promosing alot, infact it seems to be promising a completly different service. Now they're not going to think that where is the first place people turn for News is going to be Five, but considering the amount of dosh they have available, it sounds like it's going to be very different, hopefully different to BBC or ITV.

So am I really. What you have just written, I agree with you.

One further step for the end of ITN. Judging my recent audience figures, ITV should get rid of their news channel! Its just a pain for them, especially with their budget. Cant wait until the new five News.

Aren't Sky doing it for less money than ITN were?

I thought Five had said that there wasn't much between the ITN and Sky bids in terms of cost, but the clincher for Five was access to Sky's international resources which ITN wasn't able to offer.
