I have to say that after seeing the initial updates over the new year weekend i was a little apprehensive about the move, but it seems to be going ok.
as with itn, the lunchtime bulletins are a bit patchy, but overall they were good.
I agree with the alistair campbell comments, they did go on a little bit long.
the only five news correspondents iv seen are andy bell, andy richardson and peter lane. maybe when we get some more domestic stories we will see a few more familiar faces.
the camers work isnt the greatest. the camera is always looking for the right shot when doing a close up of the main presenter, particularly charlie on friday, itn managed it, maybe it will come with practice.

Layla Heys, Lindley Gooden, Emma Branham, Catherine Jacobs, Alex Crawford, Stuart Ramsey are all Five Reporters and have all been on screen over the past week.
I think it's clear that as Chris Shaw said, the international resources are the clincher as far as Sky's version of Five News is concerned.
For example, with ITN producing the programme never in a million years would they have had a live from Ramallah on the Palestinian election on a Sunday night bulletin.
Therefore it's a shame that Emma Hurd was only able to utter a couple of sentences, rendering the exercise rather pointless.
I didn't think that Emma Hurd's 30 second live was a pointless exercise. She set the scene well and covered the topic. It was also good to see Jim Matthews live in that particular bulletin. It's not the fault of the programme editors that they can only restrict Jim and Emma to 30 secs each it's the fault of the schedulers who give a paltry four minutes to the slot and then 9 minutes or so later in the day.

I was assuming richardhall99 meant ex-ITN Five News reporters although it's worth mentioning that Peter Lane was Five News (ITN), then BBC, then back to Five news with Sky for the relaunch.
Another ex-Five News face popped up on ITV News tonight - Jon Gilbert reporting from the ruins of a Sri Lankan hotel when he had been on holiday a month ago.

Well Emma Brannam (previously of BBC Three News) did a report on dentists on launch night...
