In another thread someone said that Kate Adie is also moving to the new five news. Assuming this is true, it seems a rather unexpected move for her, although I do seem to remember her going freelance around the time of the Iraq war.

I thought she had quite bitterly quit the BBC a couple of years ago.

I read somewhere that she was still reporting for BBC World, but I don't know if that's still the case.

Incidentally, BBC News correspondent Robert Nisbet has also been poached by Sky News to be their new "Lifestyle" correspondent. Any more BBC presenters going to jump ship?

I was thinking more reporters than presenters - I think PM on Radio 4 (also presente by Eddie Mair) is probably a better gig than Five News...

Sky's Africa correspondent Stuart Ramsey is to be chief correspondent for Five News.

(David Chater is replacing him in Africa for Sky News)

Peter Lane returns to Five from the BBC to be northern correspondent.

They are retaining Five's political editor Andy Bell.

Some pretty good signings here arent there.
Lets hope that the studio and the rest of the presentation is as good as the names that they are getting.
Cant wait for the first bulletin. But does it start on the saturday 1st or the monday 3rd?
