I think the colours and lighting have the perfect mood, the set looks very special, with the five logo. The whole thing flowed very neatly, and seemed very top notch (well rehearsed).

I was expecting the simpleness Sky News have been using, perhaps this is a sign of good times ahead for sky news...

And here is a capture of the bulletin for you all.

There is no way that Sky will let it look crap - they have too much riding on it.

Quite, if they've ever got any hope of picking up either the ITV or C4 contract then this has to work. They'll throw money at this, and I would imagine they'll throw more than the contract is worth in the hope of getting more business.

There is no way they will ever get the ITV contract not when ITVplc own 40% of ITN and are tipped to buy it out right next year.

Depends if ITV are looking for a cheap way to dissolve ITN and do things on the cheap or not ...

I wouldn't count anything like that out at all.

What is funny about it... you're just dragging the discussion down a totally irrelevant and unwanted route. If you want to insult someone for absolutely no reason whatsoever, don't subject the rest of it to us.

Oh get lost. If you can't enjoy a joke then what is the world coming to.

It is coming to you insulting people on here for no reason, rather than discussing the topic in hand.

Maybe it is just because I have a fundamental dislike of your insulting manner towards just about everyone on here, or maybe it is because your ''joke'' is not particularly funny.

Again, back to the thread...

What is the clever glass?

Ohhh I like so far! Very purple, studio looks promising.

Bigger, clearer widescreen caps here.

That's fine, because I have a fundamental dislike of you. And the "joke" was fine, it's just you're clearly having PMT problems today. Now run along, and stop bothering me.

I think from this image:

Look bottom left - if that's not a two level set I'll eat my hat.

I know it was only a beat or two (and most likely it won't be the case) but the music seemed vaguely reminiscent of the pre-violins era five news theme. So thankfully it would seem that this is the end of violins at long last.

I'll gladly stop, when you stop insulting members of this board on a whim, because you're so irrationally rude.

Super.

Not when ITN is not making a loss, ITN are well placed now with the profitability that ITN Archive brings in. i understand what your saying but i think its very unlikely.

it looks rather nice from the tiny glimpse we've had so far.

i do however think ch5 have missed an opportunity here. i think they should play up the fact it is now produced by sky, whether on screen or in the graphics. but sky news is very well respected, where as the "five news" brand has only existed for a very short period of time.

alot of money has gone into the relaunch, with them gaining access to so much more international resources. its a shame not to point it out.
