And from what i could see is that the bottom floor is very like the old five news set with blue squares ... remember the era?

such a beautiful studio, the best set I have seen for the news ever...

no real surprise that it was Kirsty as she would probably have been in piloting anyway - most new shows keep doing pilots til the last day.
I see she has a rather large hand held PC
I have to say it reminds me of BBC Three's 60seconds in some ways - very short stories with a ticker for the other news etc.

Yes.... the music was very 60 second like, and the Tablet PC was like Sky News today.. sorta!!!

I assume it was a CSO shot tonight? I can't see Kirsty standing in that big old empty studio by herself.

Didn't think the music had much to it...and would have preferred it to continue running through the update - it was fast paced but felt a bit silly without a beat behind it. But still we only heard 3 seconds of the music!

Nice to see Kirsty with a wireless tablet PC - it's Sky's new toy and I'm sure they wouldn't want to go back to paper anymore!

Love the studio though...well from what we saw in that single shot. And what a lovely "five" logo lit-up.

Oh, and at last a ticker on the updates...I think five's updates have needed one for ages else you just don't get much into it.

Very impressed thus far...but I also await to see what we get in terms of a news agenda.
