That's a shame, I often watch Euronews in French to help with language learning. Now all I have is TV5Monde

Most of the French news channels also have smartphone apps without Geoblocking. In the past, I have used BFM TV, C News, Franceinfo, and France 24. I'd recommend France 24 because of their top class reporting and their English, French and Arabic services (with Spanish launching in September). It is also easy to swap, which I like because I find languages so interesting, that I can happily watch a programme in a language without knowing a lick of it! (Sorry, getting off topic).

EDIT: You can get the refreshed services via the Euronews website:
French: http://fr.euronews.com/live
German: http://de.euronews.com/live
Spanish: http://es.euronews.com/live
Portuguese: http://pt.euronews.com/live

Other services will be launching in the future.

EDIT 2: The new services also appear to have updated graphics, including a change to the name tag. They are yet to be applied to the English service. I think they will update the graphics for the English service when the other services have been launched.

Good to see Euronews Francais is regionalised to the point that the Eurovision report was biased towards Alma, the French entry.

I had issues with viewing Euronews English on the iPad app before the regionalization. Was it ever available in the US?

The streams for France 24 and Franceinfo: are still very easy to find, among some others. I don't think they're geoblocked anywhere.

That's true, but I'm not a fan of streaming stuff on my laptop or phone. Prefer to view on TV.

I think it's a terrible decision to axe the international/multi-language version. Euronews provided the unique opportunity to get unbiased news from an international perspective in my mother tongue, so I don't want a localised channel (which is not even available via satellite). Many people also used the multilanguage channel for learning other languages, which isn't possible anymore.

A bit off topic, but how many versions do Eurosport 1 and Eurosport 2 have, andcan you name them all?

ITS youtube feed has gone HD, which is a complete an utter shock. It thought maybe there jump to 480 feed but no its HD feed.

Zattoo Switzerland have solved the Euronews language stream issues with improved PQ for Euronews English and Euronews Francais at 1024x576.

Not entirely sure when the change happened, but Euronews English has launched the updated graphics used on the localized services.

Feels even more like CNN circa 2014 now. The headlines don't all appear at once now, and the "news" segment graphic doesn't appear anymore, giving them the full width of the screen for text. I like the new style for the name lower thirds too. I still see a jumble of different things and some graphics still pop up in English. Also, at least on the French feed, the crawl is only showing currencies and weather.

New headline lower third:

I've only noticed that during a live breaking news story, but I haven't seen too much yet.

From what I've seen, it only affects French.

Ugh. Wasn't it Martin Lambie-Nairn who said 'We don't do shiny'?
