Euronews launching africanews, new euronews identity to come

I am pretty sure that there is an issue with the new headline bed so that the old one is still played because during the last sequence at half past a new tune could be heard right at the end of the headlines.

They look way thinner in the promo. Africa News channel graphics are the correct size. I feel like they weren't meant to be that big. If they were , big mistake.

Here is how the new Era of euronews was launched from its French-language service (simulcastfof English service)

Surprised there is so much text on screen, given the multi language nature of the channel.

Thanks for the caps Rob. Not sure about the revamp really - think the previous look was much nicer.

I know he has a lot of fans, but this new music is pretty weak. Yes, he wrote something great for the BBC, but most pieces he's written for other broadcasters feels pretty shapeless.

To compare, here's an old gem from some of the 2008 stuff. The strings in the 2008 music really stood out from everything else, in my opinion.

In fact, Euronews is a single service with so many audio feeds.

It just sounds like generic world news music that you could pull out of any music catalog, there's nothing that really differentiates it from everything that's come before it.

Disappointed to see that Euronews has left Freesat.

It seems to still be FTA so should be available with a little manual tuning effort
