I don't think people are getting the point. In Islam it is a sin to try and portray the Prophet Muhammed pictorially anyway. The fact that he was portrayed as a suicide bomber is only secondary to them.

Then they should learn to grow up and worry about much more important issues.

Anyone has the right to draw a picture of whoever they want. Sin my arse.

I don't think they have the right to make such a big deal of it, what with all the protests and everything, but they do have the right to be insulted. One thing i don't like about Islam is that in many Islamic countries it has simply taken over peoples' lives. So yes, they should learn to grow up, but it would be best for the media to just ignore them because they were bound to do all the protests and everything anyway.

Getting back to the presentation issue - I think to illustrate the story it is essential the images are shown on news programmes, in context.

On the wider issues - it's quite hypercritical for protestors to condemn the whole of the western world for the actions of one cartoonist in one paper when their main argument seems to be about all Muslims being described as terrorists.

And an even wider issue - the way the world seems to be going at the moment I think things are going to have to get alot worse before the get better!

Just wondering if the images have been shown on US news programmes - not heard anything about protests in the US.

Then again, a story which is dominating coverage across Europe and the Middle East probably wouldn't even register on the US news agenda!

If these pictures or cartoons were actually shown. The rest of us might actually know what the fuss is about. At the moment all i can see is people comitting very serious crimes by trashing buildings etc.

The pictures are on the Internet, I'm not muslim but they are definitely offensive, but why Muslims demonstrating in this country, this I don't understand!

They're not doing themselves any favours by this stupidity - and my father's family are Muslim. Incidentally, it is only in some sects of Islam, the less tolerant ones obviously, that portraying the Prophet is a sin. These sects are the problem.

Offensive? Why are they offensive? I really can't see any offense whatsoever in those pictures... And that's why I don't see any point in censoring them.
