Recently have been watching EURO NEWS, (although I have watch ed on / off over the past though month)
I was just wonder what everyone’s else view was on this channel?
I think it UNDER rated, and I found its news more grown up like Channel 4 news, and gives more important news across the broad instead of ITV news reporting about the price butter

It's certainly a great channel from the point of view of the quality of the news. Its graphics could be better but great music (even if the old weather and business themes were really astounding).
The fact though that it broadcast in 7 languages makes it impossible to have a presenter and that makes the channel a little boring and plain compared to other major international news channels IMO.

The style of the channel makes me wonder why there isn't some sort of ticker/ text info area on screen.

'cause the text should be in 7 languages... Anway I think it's better like this, text and ticker are rearely useful and often very distracting

Overall though, they seem to have developed a style to overcome the linguistic requirements that gives them a very unique and quite fresh look. I particularly like the actuality bits, done without commentary. It sometimes has an almost arthouse feel to it!

Does anyone have an idea of the sise of the UK/RoI audience?

One of my favourite channels. You get more real news from EuroNews then either Sky News or News24.

Agree, I followed several events on EuroNews because they were done without commentary. When pictures are the most important part of a news story having someone describing them is often more annoying than useful.

A friend of mine worked for Euronews in Lyon for a while - he had a whale of a time - any foreign stories that they didn't understand they used to make up something to fit the pictures !!!!!!!

We receive the channel in Canada as well. I like it a lot as it's format is really unique.

I'll tell you one which deserves a look is NDTV 24/7 - it's like News 24 on speed! From New Delhi.

I suspect that's why he used to work for them. It devalues journalism as a whole, not simply Euro News, when those in the position of power (the one's telling the story) behave like this although I suspect this is a pile of bull
