Hopeful Channel 4 news will have some decent at 18.30. Next big question will be will ITV and the BBC hold any debates like the one Sky news is planning to do, Mind you that inbetween all the local debates which BBC Scotland and STV love doing.

Not that special then. It is the sort of thing they'd have done a Newsnight special for previously and that would probably be more appropriate tonight.

Looks a bit dull from that still. Trying to figure out what the red symbolises? Just BBC News?

Is it the red from the Union Jack?

June 23rd is in a 2-day gap between the group and the knockout stages of Euro 2016, so plenty of space for wall-to-wall TV coverage. It wouldn't surprise me if that had some bearing on the scheduling of the referendum date - particularly since the previous Thursday's fixtures include England v Wales and Ukraine v NI.

Of course the following Thursday is when Scottish, NI and certain English schools start to close for the summer holidays.

Both main channels teatime news bulletins happen to be much earlier than normal tonight, at 4:30pm, so that will be to compensate for that on the BBC.

Except both Teatime bulletins were already scheduled to be shown earlier than normal anyway-nothing to do with the EU date annoucement, although the BBC has added 5 minutes to both bulletins today.

The leave campaign seem to be using a predominantly red colour scheme so the BBC logo being prominently red will probably be another stick to beat them with.

I thought that, it could also represent the out campaign - Vote Leave are using red as their colour.
