The BBC One HD CA referred to the region under the old 'BBC North' name.

Liz Truss perhaps the biggest name joining Stuart White in the East, using the BBC Spotlight music for the titles - seems an odd time to schedule it, late on a Sunday night.

There isn't any particularly big names on the Yorkshire one, relatively minor MPs, unknown business leaders and political commentators.

Harry Gration doing his best attempt at a David Dimbleby impression.

Carol here in the North East was showing her worth. She handled the debates very well.

The scheduling makes this feel like a public service broadcasting box ticking exercise. Considering the overall cost of organising these a more high profile slot would have been welcome.

The University of Bradford media department bought an HD scanner to use with their studio on a drive in basis, and to do OBs.

Look North often use this (and Bradford students) for regional OBs, so they may have been on HD simply because they were able to provide an HD programme.

Solent Uni have an HD truck too. I think they 'garage' it at BBC South with the quid-pro-quo that the Beeb borrow it for CiN OBs etc

What onscreen graphics do we think the broadcasters will use? Maybe the name of the area that has just declared, the result and the percentage rolling through, with the current result on a bar along the bottom?

I suspect the BBC's will be very similar to those used for the Scottish Independence referendum.

The NC had the Newsbeat EU debate instead of Outside Source on this evening. I suspect the share for this show will be considerably lower than if it'd been on the linear version of BBC Three.

They are showing the NI debate on the NC tomorrow (22:45) and the Wales one on Friday (21:00) and a two hour UK-wide one on Tuesday (20:00) which will also be shown on BBC WN.

Indeed, isn't news beat aimed at people who aren't reached by normal BBC News services? Therefore airing a newsbeat debate on BBC News Channel sounds like it wouldn't attract the audience and annoy the ones who are there already.

Sounds like a good place for BBC three.
