The End of The World!

Just noticed on Digiguide on BBC Four from Tuesday 29th May, The World disappears from the schedule, replaced by "World News Today" at 7pm.

i hope so i think bbc world will be much better than the world

Yeah, was mentioned briefly on page xyz of the BBC News thread...but nothing else was mentioned. I suppose it will now mean that BBC World has a more coherent look, instead of a random green bulletin, plus i suppose it will fit it more with the rest of BBC News...

Anyone know how The World rated in comparison to More4 News - and how these bulletins compare to Sky News / News 24 in the 8pm hour?

Its pretty much the same

Well they're all less than 100,000. I think they all get pretty similar ratings at that time tbh, and i'd imagine the difference is within the margin of error. More4 News had 48,000 on Friday night, and 60,000 last Tuesday.

will they be using the titles graphics and music,from N9 and will Zeinab Badawi still present or will it be Nik Gowing

Yes they will, if it's Monday-Thursday, Nik Gowing will present. If it's Friday, other presenters will present (just like what you said, Zeinab Badawi, she could even present on HARDtalk filling in for Stephen Sackur if he's not available).
