The MediaGuardian article also says that Chris Eakin is doing the 11pm programme. Should we take this to mean that he would also do the second half of the Ten O'Clock News Hour then? Because it's surely not going to be the case that one presenter is only used between 10.30-11pm.

Didn't read the MG article properly. So it's...

9 - 11 Kate & Simon
11 - 2 Matthew & Jane
2 - 4 ????
4- 7 Jon & Louise
7 - 10 Ben & Emily
11 - 1 Chris

So with Jane Hill getting the 11-2 slot on N24 does this meak Kaplinsky stays on the Six o'clock news?

So the slot times are changing, otherwise Nicky wouldn't have said that, but we know that 7-10 is staying as it says in the press release.

Yes as stated in the Media Guardian article there is also a 11 - 2 slot.

Perhaps they will only take Breakfast to 8am, then a new 8-11am slot? Or will it just be a 2 hour slot from 9-11?

Presumably from 8 with a new afternoon slot? Wink

Hoooooray! I won't have to watch Breakfast in the mornings from now on!

What's the new afternoon slot?

It is if I want to watch BBC News between 8-8.30 in the morning!

Ah! I've guessed who we'll be treated to two hours of every day from 2-4pm...

It still seems to be quite newsy until 8.30. It's after 8.30 I find it tends to become a bit fluffy.

So I take it, that Breakfast won't become much newsier then after the relaunch then , considering the earlier 8am start time?

Agree with you that on most days it is fairly newsy to 8.30.

It may be newsy but I don't like it's format. Much prefer the xx:00 headlines xx:01 main news xx:15 headlines xx:16 sport xx:17 more news xx:27 weather that we get on N24.

Is there anything definite yet on this 8am start, or is this just speculation based on MediaGuardian referring to an 11-2 shift? Clearly something's changing, but let's not jump the gun too much - especially as MediaGuardian hasn't always proved itself to be 100% accurate.

Yeah, the format isn't too great - it needs a complete revamp , but I'm getting off topic. We'll just have to wait and see.
