There will be an official press release soon I think. But Jane and Chris move elsewhere in the N24 schedule.

That's madness! They're easily the best presenters and their current slot is one of the prime ones is it not? Then again are they going to beef up their daytime coverage as more breaking news happens there, and in an attempt to get more businesses/newspaper newsrooms watching N24 rather than Sky?

If this is the case I think it'll be bye bye to Matthew & Maxine?

But it dosent say where Jane and Chris are going!! Its pretty rubbish that they're only telling us half the story. I suppose If Dermot leaves Breakfast then Simon will do weekends, so Chris would replace him. But then wheres Jane going?? Someones going to have to leave arent they? Maybe Kate's off to do Breakfast at the weekend as well. Cant they just tell us whats going on Confused

Oh, how sensitive in the light of Nick Clarke's recent leg amputation!!!!

I presume Matthew will be put out to pasture - he hardly ever appears on BBC One any more, and one occasions when he would have been on, they seem keen to put other presenters on such as Simon McCoy, or one bank holiday I remember, with Chris Eakin

Maybe Jane is being given the much speculated national role. It is apparent that recently she has been presenting more bulletins on BBC 1. Perhaps if Natasha is given the 6 Monday to Thursday Jane will be given the 6 on a Friday and will become the face of the weekend. Another posibility is Jane to move to the 1 with Sophie, being her understudy, Sophie won't be working full time, but then what would happen to Darren?

Well in fact Matthew will be presenting on BBC One this Sunday according to the Radio Times. The press release leaves lots of unanswered questioons - it dosent even say when this change comes into effect.

Well i reckon Jane will stay as News 24 is being seen as a much higher priority now. Perhaps back to 4-7 - ealier would seem like a rather big demotion which wouldn't be fair. But she has been on BBC1 a lot recently.
