Interesting. Could that be a template for the new BBC News lower thirds when they finally go reith?
No
Reminds me of the previous Sinclair package Glass/Curves.

I liked the shots they were using from it.
I also enjoy the sneaky peek of what Huw can see - was worth the effort in my opinion:
Also, I thought the keyed area was very good, I really didn't realise it was fake until I noticed there were no other cameras around. I'm assuming there must obviously have been a screen of sorts on a stand or something - so the presenters/contributors had somewhere to look when interacting on a two-way.
Last time we saw that shot was by accident on Impact and showed how dusty the top part of the studio was, I am guessing mediaboy whilst he was there installing a furio gave it a good spring cleaning.

Has nobody noticed the extra camera in that picture? Guessing that's where the photo of mediaboy waist deep by a furio track came from, as the surrounds of that image didn't match any of the other studios.

TV studios are like any other large industrial room or building, they can go for years without anything much out of normal reach being cleaned. I suspect there is still 1960s dust in parts of TC1,2 and 3, ( even if it’s under 2010’s building work dirt !)

I think it’s new, or at least the camera has recently been added. They placed some masking along the top of the screen to match the grill like thing that normally sits above.
