Huw is off to bed, World's programme presented by Ros Atkins has taken over on BBC One and the NC (with the World News ticker).

UK viewers having missed out on some of the 'arty' shots from the radio cam that BBC World viewers have enjoyed, including a few from behind the scenes Wink

I'm soo puzzled on which studio gallery is the WN election coverage coming out from... I assume it may be coming out of a temporary gallery built near Brussels, given the fact that the graphics are all "weird" (e.g The ticker strap font is enlarged, the lower thirds have weird spacing issues, the ticker strap cannot show the NC version of the ticker during simulcasts) etc... Perhaps some TV junkie here can give me a clue.

Looked like there were two ENG cameras an a Q Ball (which could explain why certain shots looked flat).
Don’t let anyone treat you like you’re a VO/SOT when you’re a PKG.

The output from Brussels had no graphics on it, those were added in NBH. I don't have the details of which gallery the BBC World programme was passing through, I think it might have been A.

For BBC The Briefing has David Eades in Brussels, and the Business Briefing has Samantha Simmonds in Studio C. I seem to remember that when they’re usually on location that they whomever is in the studio handle the news review.

The chyrons when the election ticker on screen still appear different from the normal font. Additionally in the beginning there were some issues with the normal chyrons covering the election ticker, along with the show strap.

Edit : the news review portion is with David Eades. They cut to him a bit early where he said “I’m not happy with that”.

Don't World News usually avoid taking the intro and then join a few minutes in? The intro Huw Edwards did about this being 'the election that was never supposed to happen' was very UK-centric so it seems like the kind of thing where someone else sets the scene on WN and then they opt in to the main programme?

For some events, that's the case.

Duncan Golestani is now in C doing a BBC World Bulletin on BBC World, NC & BBC One. (The ticker has returned to a NC ticker)

Complete with News channel ticker plugging the Huw Edwards EU Election special starting at 10pm which finished hours ago.

Is it really that hard to have a decent ticker?
Honestly, if they don't want to put the effort into providing viewers a useful one, just remove the thing. It's a complete embarrassment. On BBC World News, the only three business headlines for hours were "What's gone wrong with Brazil's economy?", "How will Modi handle India's economy?" and "Why Huawei's Google woes worry Africa".

Well during the Briefing, the lower thirds from the news channel and BBC World News appeared on top of those graphics, almost like the election graphics are coming as part of the feed back from Brussels.
