Do you think that Breakfast will just use one of the presenters already over there for their coverage, or a reporter?

I remember Bill was in the Washington studio for the 2008 elections. Obviously with DQF, I think that it is improbable that they'll have one of their normal presenters from there.

Jon Kay announced at the end of today's programme that Bill will be reporting from the States for the elections.

Was just about to post this myself! Great news - I really liked the programme being presented from two locations in 2008 elections. Now from Washington to Salford!

Also, David Dimbleby was in an advert for the US elections on the News Channel. What is this talk about TC7 being used for the coverage - why have coverage from London?

Isn't it just the "virtual" bits with Jeremy Vine that's coming from TC5? That's been the case for many past elections - Jeremy and Peter Snow before were always based in the UK.

David Dimbleby and co will be in Washington - as this picture proves. I was a bit disappointed that they appear to have stuck with the circle theme they used in 2008 - but the set looks nice:

Didn't they use a window cleaning lift to show the electoral college votes, climbing higher with each time.

Any idea what onscreen graphics the BBC will be using?

Surely they can't use the same as 2008?

Plus I bet it was probably cheaper to fly Bill from Manchester to Washington (Direct), than from either Gatwick or Heathrow!!!! So the Beeb in a win win situation Smile Will be great to see Bill in Washington, though Smile

Alas, no access to ITN and Alastair Stewart. However, we will have the sublime Kamahl Santamaria at AJE in Doha for our results.

Surely you could watch it on one of the many (ahem) sites that stream live TV?
