The reporters on LBC seem to be post-grads who are presumably on their first gig since leaving uni, but have been really good.
As for Sky, really enjoying the Dermot, Beth and John Bercow triple header. Having Bercow has been a masterstroke as he knows each and every one of those politicians and can see behind the spin. For the first time, there's been a credible alternative to the BBC coverage and I applaud Comcast for investing heavily in tonight's coverage.

Perhaps it’s not all about the fancy studios then!

Not saying they’re going to instantly take over Sky News Central or that it’s even viable to do so, but it’s interesting that Sky have gone for the style they have done tonight. Big studio setup, lots of colour, modern music - I’d say there’s a desire to go to this sort of style otherwise why bother?

I thought that. They seem to have a huge big screen at the end if the atrium and haven't used it for anything just yet. Seems a bit of a waste.
They've got results teams in the atrium and the camera feed hub hidden behind frosted glass. They definitely could have plonked a desk in the atrium for a nice set up and arguably then have the ability for VR segments.
Graphics and the set as they are now are still far better than this years effort from the Beeb.
Have ITV used the big screen in the atrium for anything more than just a backdrop?
I do think they could easily have moved Tom and co. down into the atrium then used the studio purely for VR graphics, the area I think they do now lag behind the opposition.

Hasn't Sky News often revamped following an election?
