NC's clock is on World..
Not really surprising though. After all, it's a simulcast

It was there throughout world viewers must have been confused at least they could have put 12:03GMT or World just put their own lower thirds like they usually do.

In years gone by BBC World were at arms length so they did their own thing.

I thought BBC Scotland did better at the virtual graphics.

As for Channel 4. Well, what didn't they do wrong? Far too many people on the panel, an audience that didn't feel like laughing at anything after the exit poll was revealed, Stanley Johnson being incredibly offensive/racist/Islamophobic, Jimmy Carr giving serious political commentary, graphics that (as Jon said) looked awful and about 15 years out of date (also did anyone notice the results graphic at the top was 4:3 safe but the lower thirds were 14:9 safe?). Anyone who was suspicious about Channel 4 giving the programme to a new production company without a tender has surely not had their worries assuaged after that. Apparently they even had to ask Zeppotron, the previous producers, for a copy of the titles and to use their set! https://deadline.com/2019/12/channel-4-alternative-election-night-anger-1202797051/

And with that I conclude my 10,000th post!

Seems to be virtually the same mistake they made when they dumped Highflyer Productions from C4 Racing.

When was that?

2013 when they got full rights and dumped their team of 25 years for the dull Nick Luck and too-BBC Claire Balding. It was one of the key reasons they lost the rights 4 years later.

But I thought they were excellent

Nice to see Martine Croxall in Downing Street and not in a studio.

Thought Emily Maitlis was great earlier, wish she wasn't normally confined to Newsnight.
Hello, good evening, and remain indoors.

Here's the opening of BBC Alba's election coverage (more like an extended edition of An La... Oh well)
Still with the old Election theme (Arthur 2010 that is)
EDIT: Skip to 0:40
I can’t think of a good signature.

I ended up switching to ITV for part of the evening because the BBC was just a little too focused on going over the figures a bunch to do announcements. They seemed to get a bit better towards the end. Sky I saw a bit of and def was the most impressive in terms of prez - but Bercow kept me away. I'm sure he's a good pundit, but it's a bit of a principle thing - he's a little too hungry for the fame.

ITV was more sedate but seemed to be more willing to pause whatever they were doing to catch up with results. C4 was the only one not to have a worldwide broadcast option so no way to watch it in the US - but sounds like it was pretty bad anyway.

C4 was horrible. I’m a fan of Katherine Ryan but she looked so uncomfortable. Credit to Clare Balding though as the Peter Snow/Jeremy Vine analogue.
BBI45, Cando and Brekkie gave kudos

Always love election night coverage - have to say that Sky's graphics presentation was stunning and their coverage was very good as was ITV and CNN. I moved between these three all night.
The BBC's coverage and graphics were utter crap - the worst I have ever seen - Andrew Neil was the one saving light.
The set was pathetic and their graphics are so so dull and out of date. The swingometer is an embarrassment - when you think back to the virtual 3D one used in 2001

https://www.mikeafford.com/tv-graphics/bbc-election-vote-2001/

to be replaced by the current offering - and the worst exit poll graphics ever - desperate stuff from the Beeb - the BBC - Bland Boring and Crap - it is time they got a new graphics design team and new modern fresh graphics
