Anybody still watching Channel 4? I have in conjunction with switching to ITV on occasion. Not as good as Zeppotron's production. Good news programme though, very average comedy show mostly.
Apparently they abandoned the comedy brief a few hours in according to Scott Bryan on Twitter. From seeing clips looks like a total car crash for C4 compared to other years, and looks like a lot of the audience left half way through. There was supposed to be a second lot of audience coming in at 1.30ish but lots of people didn't turn up!

By all accounts it was ok until the exit poll came out. When it did the studio audience booed it, and then it went down hill from there as suddenly all the booked comedians like famously left leaning Nish Kumar had no material.

It started at 9.55 - the exit poll was at 10!
If you're left-leaning, there is arguably more material than ever, hasn't stopped the previous alternative election nights where the left parties have faltered. The panel was far too bloated for sure, and the audience reaction certainly didn't help with Krishnan pleading with the audience to stop booing the guests and having to abandon interviews.
So opinions on overall coverage now that the sun is rising and all the votes are in.
I think Sky surprised us all. Impressive graphics, great studio set up, the sweeping camera shots across Sky Centre were gorgeous. A big thumbs up.
ITV not too bad. Same studio as ever. Wa the coverage I stuck to the most. I like the atrium area but it seemed poorly set up and not utilised completely to its potential. It's also a shame they have to hand over to GMB at 6am - once I heard Piers shouting I had to turn off.
BBC was quite a big disappointment. A very underwhelming studio for them which was too restricted by its small size. The CGI overhead graphics were awful. Reeta was not a good appointment to the touch screen element. And why on earth would they continue with the hexagon map in the NBH foyer in the freezing cold and pouring rain. The BBC didn't really manage to cope with both the last minute calling of the election as well as the December date and it showed.

Things are getting heated on GMB. At one point they had 5 people all shouting at each other...it becomes totally unwatchable and we can't hear anything

Sky - Excellent
ITV, CNN - Good
BBC - Pretty bad.
Would be my summary of it.
I'm struggling to remember a better election broadcast in a while than Sky's effort. The presentation was superb, the pacing was great and a good mix of analysis & live results. Dermot's energetic performance too was a vast improvement on Adam Boulton in recent elections. Beth Rigby is for me comfortably the strongest of the big 3 political editors and love him or loathe him few know more about parliament than John Bercow. All they need to do is basically repeat the same coverage whenever the next election is.
BBC's Virtual Reality was horrible - inexcusable really given how experienced in particular BBC Sport are at using it and using it well. MOTD for exaple has been good for a while with VR/AR whereas you wouldn't have to be a TV expert to know much of the BBC election set was virtual. With hindsight it would probably have made more sense to use Studio B as normal with Jeremy Vine in A.
From what I saw, Sky were very good with analysis and digging deep into results, while ITV had a really good selection of guests and interesting discussions. Wasn't too impressed with what I saw of the BBC's coverage, the tone felt a bit off - somehow managed to be both dry and a bit lightweight.
Didn't watch much of Channel 4, like a lot of the audience it seems I really wasn't in the mood for a lighthearted look at the election.
From the snippets of the Channel 4 coverage I saw when I flicked last night, I'd say:
The graphics were cack. Some really awful font (why couldn't they ask for the corporate font?) on 3D graphics that were about 15 years out of date.
The audience were distraught at the exit poll - at least the loudest section of the (according to Krishnan) balanced audience.
There seemed to be a 3 way shouting match between Stanley Johnson, Nish Kumar and Judge Rinder at one point with lots of audience intervention. Rylan then showed up Krishnan by continuing the conversation after they cut to him and actually keeping order.
Amber Rudd's daughter mentioned something about putting Tabasco on her tampon.
