Richard Quest is on CNN with Robin Oakley. Now there’s a blast from the past. I knew Oakley went to CNN years ago, but didn’t realise he was still there.

Robin is on CNN quite a lot. Always very insightful.

Sky's analysis of each result is far superior to the BBC and ITV.

We are not hearing enough about swing from the BBC as I would have expected. Swing used to be their primary focus it seemed, but no actual swingometer that I've even noticed.

Swing has been shown on results.

It isn't getting as much prominence as it once did. It used to be a fundamental part of the storytelling of the night.

Quite impressed with the presentation of Sky News. Much better than the usual Adam Boulton rubbish, massive step up. BBC seems to step down, seems a bit of a mess the studio. Havent watched much of ITV's, have they been any good this year?

Quite poor that Sky has had to mute out their theme tune on the exit poll and into and out of breaks on their youtube stream. Must be because of copyright issues ??

Like they were in 2017, ITV is very good for commentary and analysis

Honestly the C4 alternative thing is the most pointless piece of tv since.... x factor the band

Good article here at Broadcast about Sky's preparation for their election coverage: https://www.broadcastnow.co.uk/tech/sky-news-unveils-advanced-ar-graphics-for-election-night/5145585.article

It really is all hands on board when Sky get sports reporter Martha Kelner reporting from the Stoke count.

What is going on with the BBC tonight? They seem to be awfully slow this evening on switching to count announcements.

These Vine segments are just so utterly pointless. Stupid graphics, patronising delivery and just a wall of noise words that are so difficult to follow and gain anything from. Why do they insist on doing this every single election night? And what exactly is the distinction between what he is doing and what Reeta is doing aside from the different technology involved?

Really impressed with Sky, all hands on deck with sports, business and lead news presenters/correspondents all chipping in. Bar the people working the surrounding daytime shifts, it does seem as if every person, every effort is being made to cover events in the sharpest way.
BFGArmy and London Lite gave kudos
