I love the "graph" on that exit poll about the economy. How can the result of 47% just be a little bigger than the results in the 20s - it should surely be twice as big.

Did CBS break away from their coverage and come back when they could announce that Obama had won?

After watching a variety of news channels, in my opinion AJE coverage was the best out of them all...CNNI did have some nice graphics but I think they were a bit too over the top...
AJE had nice, simple graphics and an excellent results wall...but more importantly the actual coverage was excellent- lots of in depth reporting and debates not only with influential people in the world, but with ordinary people in hair dressers, coffee bars etc...

Here are some caps and a video of the ''hologram moments''.

Jesus that looks truly awful. I don't think I can find anything good to say about it. It's not pleasing visually and is in no way practical.

Here's a news story about it.

Good techy article here :

This confirms that the "hologram" was really a straight chromakey - single HD stream from Chicago. This single HD stream was generated from viewpoint tracking data information sent from New York to select the right angle for Chicago to send - generated from the 35 cameras capturing the Chicago reporter.

So pointless - surely viewers would rather see the reporter on location (that's why CNN sent them there), rather than as a "hologram" in the studio.

If anything they should be transporting the presenters to the various locations, which I'm sure could be done very easily via CSO.

I love the Atlanta set, it's still the same as in 2000.

Sort of - Katie Couric introduced a "Breaking News Special" at 03:00am GMT.
