RE: Sky News streaming - You can try TVU streaming at http://pages.tvunetworks.com/channels/# (just scroll down until you get to Sky News - not sure if it will work on a Mac though as you need to install the plugin when prompted).

It's Windows Media though and one of the previous posters said they needed a Mac compatible version - and I don't think the Windows Media stream works on Macs.

No it doesn't. The Sky News stream specifically requires Windows (I think for DRM reasons).

I'm enjoying ITV's coverage, Alastair is doing a great job, lovely graphics, the astons are so much neater and better than their usual graphics, great animation to them too. The ticker, astons and counter are all neatly placed around the screen, very nice.

I like the adjustments to the studio, though I do feel that the desk, and more so that base looks horrible when surrounded by something other than the main ITV News set, even on News At Ten.

I do like the way that they are discussing other sides, such as the comedy side to the election coverage, and to have Jon Culshaw in the studio too. Didn't they have an artist as part of the last UK Election coverage?

The thing that I don't like is how Alastair is on his own in London having to do the touch screen, etc. and a lack of virtual coverage from ITV, something that they do quite well in my opinion, though I'm unsure who they would have had in to do the virtual coverage, my only suggestion would have been Mary Nightingale, but after doing News At Ten and presumebly the Evening News, it would have been a long day.
Though the BBC's virtual studio with Jeremy Vine is an amazing set up, maybe ITV News should look at it to redesign their studio!

As for their reporters in America, it's a shame that they don't seem to be including Mark Austin in their coverage, even though he's listed as being in Washington.

Was I just tripping there, or did I see a random man standing against the back screens behind the guests on the left?

I shouldn't have had those extra mushrooms tonight.
