According to all networks. Obama has won. Good night everyone.

I don't understand why ITV's graphics come off when they take NBC pictures.

Sky still need to update their counter. BBC have 297:141. ITV 284:146.

It's like New Years Eve across America. Spectacular scenes. Congratulations America.

Sky have a split screen, Phoenix and Chicago, expecting McCain to come out and speak before Obama I think, ITV and BBC have cameras on Chicago.

Best way to show it is split screen I think.

I presume NBC will claim to have called it first, as ITV reported they called it at 3:59.

It'd be a bit petty for any of the networks to claim the first call on this - it was just a case of waiting for the polls to close on the west coast. Anyone could have called it earlier, but it would have been pretty bad form.

On the BBC front, has Jeremy Vine danced to hip-hop music again whilst trying to act serious? [BBC UK Election 2005]
This is desperately unfunny. Because of that, I deliberately dodged BBC's US Election and stuck with the far-better-in-presentation ITV.

On a similar note, I just remember the 1992 US Election, where Bill Clinton beat George Bush [Senior] and the media briefly touted Clinton as a charasmatic Democrat, quite like Barack. I just thought I share that useless piece of information to you. I think, if I can remember, ITN's Alastair Stewart fronted this on ITV. David Dimbleby on BBC.

I'm just astonished that for a forum dedicated to television, there appears to be only one screenshot in 21 pages of this thread (Thanks to Asa Smile ) - so here are some of the screenshots I collated from between 5am and 6am...
