I think it must be ABC that can't count.

Given NBC have 103, probably right - there was me (foolishly) thinking an American network would be better at this than the BBC!

Assumes NBC and ABC have called the same states for them to both be on 103.

Checking web sites, BBC and ABC have called the same states - so one can't add. BBC should be mirroring, or have higher numbers than ABC given what they say about their sources, because they call all the states that ABC call. (As as no state has less than 3 a difference of 1 isn't allowed).

It's ABC who cannot add. The states they have called for Obama on their map add up to 103 but they are showing 102 as the total.

The BBC take ABC AND AP with one other network, so that could account for the 1 point difference.

Read back the thread and you'll understand that's not the case and a 1 point difference is not possible.

The BBC take ABC OR AP with one other network.

ABC have made an error as I have looked at the map on their website, added up the number of votes for each of the blue states, and come to 103.

No state has less than 3 electoral college votes - so that doesn't explain it.
