Following on from suggestions in the other thread, two dedicated election night threads have been created - this one for domestic coverage from the BBC (News Channel, Ten o'Clock News and Election Night programme), ITN (ITV from 11.45pm) and Sky News.
Feel free to post your caps, videos and opinions!
Don't forget you can chat live via Metropol and discuss the politics of it all over there.
What's the situation with ads there then? Do BBC World and BBC America include ads or not. If so I guess during that time they'll take a more UK perspective on it.
Also will American's have any idea who David Dimbleby is?

U.S. Election Night will be anchored by David Dimbleby*, one of the BBC’s most experienced and highly respected presenters of news and major live events, with Matt Frei, anchor of BBC World News America. They’ll be joined in the studio by veteran newsman Ted Koppel for big picture perspective and global analysis.
Broadcast live from the BBC’s bureau in Washington D.C. to more than 200 countries around the world, the program will air in the U.S. exclusively on BBC AMERICA and BBC World News. The newscast will have limited commercial breaks and will be streamed live throughout the evening on bbc.com
Thought the BBC programme started at 11. The news channel EPG says 11, BBC1's says 11:20 amd Dimbleby said 11:15 earlier.
I suppose they have to wait for Paxo to finish on BBC2?
They are probably timing it to fit in with the international schedules
it was 11:15 now its 11:20 so there we go.
I am surprised at Sky News, the slightly salmon and of blue colours and their music (with 1997 sounding elements in it) are quite refreshing, from their usual blue and red ghastly-ness
Not the greatest start for Dimbleby. I found him lost, bumbling through his intro. If you looked carefully when he threw to Jeremy, he was seemingly peeved off with what was happening in front of him. He's obviously without his bank of screens he's used to when anchoring the General Election in the UK.
Well no wonder they pre-recorded the whizzy intro before the titles - the bits after it have been a bit shambolic! David seemed not to know his guests, no OB to New York and then him clearly unhappy when throwing over to Jeremy (David remaining on the virtual wall for a while complaining about something to the point Jeremy had to remove his ear-piece!)
