You were almost 100% accurate in your report, Gonzo!
Did anyone see the Jeremy Paxman / Boris Johnson sausages discussion yesterday afternoon?? Good old Boris, can always rely on him to perk things up!

I got my info from the BBC One website, although I was also thinking that schedule was incorrect (as you saw in my questioning of the rugby) - because Jake Humphrey (as I said yesterday) reported that F1 starts at 12:15pm RB/12:45pm BBC One & whoever did the online schedule made some big mistakes. BBC Two's schedule (like you said is fluid) apart from Final Score, so in the unlikely event of something big happening - I'm sure they'll move whatever program is on BBC One to BBC Two & make Final Score red button/online only for today.
It's been like that since the schedule changes were made yesterday afternoon.

Anyway, the BBC News Special started off with a more somber version of the election theme & called the election program 'Hung Parliament'. David & Nick Roberson are broadcasting from Westminster (where Andrew Neil was yesterday). Matthew Amroliwala (who was reporting outside No. 10 for the News Channel) after a report from there, did a brief news update of the other top stories.
Not quite - the Election special is at 12pm, local news at 12.35pm, the F1 starts at 12.45pm (12.15pm on RB) and then the Rugby League as scheduled at 2.15pm. The schedule on the BBC One website (where I'm presuming your info came from) is incorrect.
BBC Two's network schedule is reasonably fluid this afternoon so one would presume that the rugby could be shoved over to Two if something particularly significant needs to be covered on One.
Matthew Amroliwala and Kay Burley currently anchoring from Westminster on the NC and Sky respectively.

The early evening national news is no longer in my EPG or scheduling on the BBC1 website (was due to be at 4.30pm). Regional News at 4.50 remains

I didn't see much of the BBC Election 2010 coverage on the night itself, but I have just tuned in to see the Hung Parliament special. The graphics are awful! Forgive my layman's term, but the text seems 'blocky'. Watching the ticker is making my eyes hurt! Were the graphics like this on the main programme - or is this unique to today's broadcast?
MQ
The graphics are the same, except the quality seems considerably worse in today's broadcast.

This is how it looked on the night but the ticker seems to be acting strange today, was smooth the other night.
Also, wonder why the news channel and the BBC1 program have different tickers on screen

Watching it now. This is a fascinating election. Nick Clegg is under serious pressure to go to the party that is genuinely offering to change the vote and that's Labour.

And if lib dems go with labour, you can BET the others will vote with them, especial for electoral reform.
This does mean now it looking more like this will continual for at least another week.

Plus Alex Salmond and the leader of Plaid Cymru are now also hinting that an alliance of Labour, Liberal, SNP, PC and the other Independents is the way to go, despite Salmond stating 48 hours ago that he would not enter into alliance talks with any party!!
